According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 15.1 square miles (39.2 km2), of which 15.0 square miles (38.9 km2) is land and 0.12 square miles (0.3 km2), or 0.78%, is water.

As of the census of 2010, there were 24,661 people, 8,147 households, and 6,706 families residing in the town. In the 2000 census, there were only 9,192 people, 3,316 households, and 2,609 families residing in the town, demonstrating a large rate of growth during the past decade.
